Why You Should Avoid Wearing N95 Valved Face Mask

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Director-General of Health Services (DGHS) in India has advised the ministry of health about the public wearing N95 valved respirator face masks to protect from coronavirus.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]These valved respirator face masks are not suitable for public usage. They are suitable for designated health workers.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]N95 valved respirator mask is meant to protect from pollution and liquid on the face of the wearer.  This mask filters 95% airborne particles.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]They are also used by construction workers to save from dust particles at construction sites.

Masks with a one-way valve don’t filter particles when you exhale. That means it protects the wearer but not others and puts them at high risk.

The basic idea behind wearing a face mask is to protect the wearer and those around them. Therefore, this is not effective for containing the Covid-19 virus. So wearing a two-way valve is what preferred.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
