Love Hemp Secures £5 Million Funding, Aims at International Growth and LSE Listing

Love Hemp Group, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of CBD and hemp-based beauty solutions has successfully secured a funding of over £5 million. It’s a major accomplishment for the CBD brand and a big step towards amping up its global marketing campaign. It can also go a long way in helping Love Hemp finally break into the main market listing of the LSE (London Stock Exchange), one of the company’s biggest goals in 2025.
Andrew Male, the chairman of Love Hemp discussed the importance of the £5M funding and the company’s major focus in an announcement made on Thursday, January 30, 2025. “The oversubscribed fundraise is a testament to the brand’s reputation as a leading supplier of CBD and hemp products across the UK and the continued interest from investors. The company intends to use the funds to create a strong platform from which we can propel the brand into global recognition using our new marketing strategy”, he stated.
Love Hemp’s newfound revenue comes as a welcome respite to the company after several years of struggling with financial troubles which started after the brand was removed from the Aquis Stock Exchange’s market listings. The company’s shares were subsequently suspended and it was also slapped with a fine of £70,000 by the Aquis Stock Exchange.
These developments had come after an investigation by the Aquis Stock Exchange found Love Hemp to be guilty of misleading its investors about finances.
This fiasco resulted in Love Hemp going into administration in February 2024. A month later, the CBD giant was forced into a second administration with the company administrators issuing warnings of possible redundancies.
The company’s current range of CBD and hemp-based products includes edibles like CBD gummies and capsules along with beauty solutions like oils and ointments. These products are available at 2,000 plus retail stores across the country, including at big names such as Ocado, Boots and Holland & Barrett.
Being the official CBD partner of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) has helped improve Love Hemp’s brand value and recognition over the past few years. Back in March 2021, the company entered into a multi-million dollar agreement to partner with the UFC for five years.
And now, owing to its newfound funding success, Love Hemp seems to have gotten right back on track and poised for big things. “We remain focused on driving Love Hemp’s growth and building the brand’s presence across North America, Europe and beyond through strategic partnerships such as the recently announced, exclusive deal with the UFC.”, Love Hemp CEO Tony Calamita concluded.
