All of us have admired the pretty flowers and green leaves in bloom. How often has a walk in the garden refreshed your senses, prompting you to take a deep breath and soak in the beauty?
Alas, the trees beholding these charming flowers and leaves are facing a grave danger, thanks to rampant deforestation. This has resulted in climate change, soil erosion, desertification, flooding, fewer crops, and increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere among other issues, making life harder for everyone.
Some may argue industries and agriculture are as much important for human existence and there is no way we could leave these activities.
But what if we have something in hand which can check the pollution without actually stopping these activities.
It is hemp, the marvel crop!
Why hemp is getting so many these days
Lying for decades in the sidelines because of the bad name its cousin marijuana had cultivated, hemp is garnering headlines these days. Governments around the world are slowly lifting the ban on hemp cultivation and the erstwhile sidelined crop is slowly returning to the mainstream.
The hemp plant can offer an excellent offer for wood. If that isn’t enough, hemp has proven to be stronger than the wood. Hemp makes a high-quality building material while eliminating humans’ need to cut down trees for sourcing material for furniture.
Items derived from hemp are entirely non-toxic, biodegradable, and renewable. It is a much better choice for people compared to products hundreds of years to decompose. Do we need to say that using hemp-derived products as much as you can help our environment as well?
