Hemp Design Studio in India

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]

Is It the Beginning of a Revolution?

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][tm_spacer size=”lg:10″][vc_column_text]

The low-profile inauguration function in a border area of Delhi dropped little idea it was the beginning of something revolutionary, which could transform our way of life forever. The event was the launch of Hemp Foundation Design Studio, showcasing the best the marvel plant has to offer and giving the clarion call of sustainable living.

An event which wowed the guests

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

The passers-by and even some guests were amazed to see seemingly numerous applications of hemp, a plant that was mistakenly painted as intoxicating for decades. There were apparel, hemp masks, jewelry, pillows, socks, oils, seeds, colored threads, and more. Every single object looked exquisite and intriguing. Guests were eager to get hold of the stuff and feel for themselves what it was like, their faces spelling disbelief how such fantastic things could be made of hemp.
But they were unanimous in support when Mr. Vishal Vivek, the CEO of Hemp Foundation, called on them to join hands in their efforts to promote the culture of sustainable living. He went on to explain how Hemp Foundation came into being and how it was leaving no stone unturned to meet its objectives – to connect the poor women and villagers of the remote Himalayas to the economic mainstream, and make people realize the importance to preserve the environment where they all lived and breathed in.

Could this be a catalyst of change aka revolution?

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

While the design studio will serve as a one-stop place to showcase all that hemp has to offer, it will serve a greater good by becoming a catalyst of change, or we better say – revolution!
A revolution in the way we all think…our attitude towards the environment. To say the least, the way most of us behave regarding our ecosystem is pathetic. We don’t realize things are getting really serious. If we still fail to make the necessary amendments in our daily lifestyle and take a vow to live a sustainable life, our planet is in a severe danger.

Environmental degradation around is grave

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Signs of environmental degradation are visible around. If you just stand up and look, you will be able to comprehend the gravity of the situation. Grave air pollution in the leading cities of the world is threatening to corrode the lungs of the residents. Massive chunks of garbage floating in the waters in the world’s oceans, for instance, The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Much of this garbage is non-biodegradable. 80 percent of plastic found in the ocean arrives from land-based sources, while boats and other marine sources account for the remaining 20 percent. Every minute, a garbage truck’s worth of plastic is deposited into the ocean.
Air and water pollution are just two types of it, and there are many others, all deleterious for human life. Sure, we may not all be responsible for all types of these. However, we need to do whatever we can to prevent the situation from getting worse.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

The plastic challenge

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

One of the gravest threats to the world environment is plastic. Chlorinated plastic releases chemicals in the surroundings, which seep into the water sources. By 2050, the amount of plastic in the ocean will be more than fish. According to a report, Bisphenol (BPA), a chemical compound used to manufacture polycarbonate plastics, has been found in more than 90% of Americans tested. Plastic is fast filling our landfills. In 2017 alone, 26.8 million tons of plastic found its way into the landfills.
Hemp can be a potent tool to combat plastic. Hemp plastic, made from the stalk of hemp plants, is a worthy future of plastic. The hemp plant has a naturally high quantity of cellulose, needed for plastic manufacturing. Hemp plastic can decompose in only three to six months, unlike conventional plastic which either never decomposes or takes centuries. Moreover, hemp plastics are easily recyclable as well. Hemp plastics are resistant to heat and non-toxic.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Environmental impact of paper packaging is frightening

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Paper packaging is another area where hemp can bring in a difference. The negative environmental impact of conventional paper packaging is frightening. More than 7.5 billion trees are fell down a year to produce paper. Just one kilogram of paper consumes a whopping 323 liters of water. In landfills, paper is the most found material after plastic. The negative impact of these statistics can only be changed if hemp packaging is promoted.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][tm_image align=”center” image=”19332″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Blatant cutting of trees is threatening existence of forests

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Increasing human settlements have led to blatant consumption of forest resources, resulting in rapid deforestation. There are estimates that this continued destruction of forests might result in the extermination of Amazon rainforests a day, which will be a colossal loss for human civilization. This is frightening as cutting of trees is the single largest cause of global farming.
Hemp is a proven tool to deal with deforestation. There are several reasons which make hemp a perfect tool to prevent the cutting of trees. Hemp creates more biomass than most other plants. This biomass can be transformed into clean fuel. With hemp-generated biomass fulfilling a major chunk of fuel requirement, there will be few reasons for anyone to cut trees. Hemp is also effective in eliminating toxins in the atmosphere. Moreover, hemp can replace the conventional way of producing paper, leaving forests intact.
Restoration of forests will also save so many plant and animal species from extinction. Hemp can do more than doing the improving the quality of forests. Continual sowing of hemp results in better food security, enhanced air and water quality, job creation, climate change resilience, and more. Hemp can indirectly help achieve these ancillary benefits.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Water-guzzling cotton is drying up valuable water resources

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Are you aware of how cotton is a major threat to the world environment? Just a single cotton t-shirt soaks up 2700 liters of water! Can you imagine wanton dissipation of the most valuable liquid? Hemp, on the other hand, consumes a negligible amount of water, compared to cotton. When it comes to other features like breathable fabric and comfort, hemp clothes aren’t an iota behind cotton apparel. The time has come to replace cotton clothes with hemp apparel.
Thoughtless exploitation of water and usage of chemicals has wreaked havoc on the ecosystem. The creation of needless dams has led to the turning of mighty rivers like Ganga into mere streams. Hemp can act savior in this scenario, contributing big time to saving these rivers. As you now know, cotton is a massive guzzler of water. Using hemp clothes will substantially bring down water consumption as well as the usage of chemicals as hemp needs a negligible amount of pesticides. Not only will this help in making water clean but will also leave more water in the river.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][tm_image align=”center” image=”19333″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Existential threat to marine life

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Elimination or even reduction in chemicals in river waters will not only give a new lease of life to marine animals but also indirectly benefit human health. Fish is a staple diet of millions of humans around the world. People who consume fish living on chemical-laden water are more likely to develop diseases, even the most deadly ones like cancer. In this globe, none of the species lives in isolation. Saving the fish from the chemicals we have subjected them to will eventually help the human race in the race of survival.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Pesticides wreak havoc on soil

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The same story repeats itself in the fields. A substantial decrease in the usage of pesticides enables the soil to heal itself after years of decay since chemical pesticides were introduced. The hemp crop stands out for its organic growth. Farmers can use this multipurpose plant in crop rotation for soil remediation. This will gradually eliminate the negative effects of pesticides. Having an inherent ability to bio-absorb contaminants, hemp can be effectively used to make the earth a clean place to live.

As may be evident to you by now, hemp can serve as a potent weapon in humans’ hands to confront these challenges to our environment. Diverse applications of hemp, as revealed by the design studio, can take on these threats at various levels. What is more, hemp products can benefit humankind in various other ways.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Providing a steady income to farmers in remote corners of Earth

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]In a country like India where 60% of the population earns their livelihood from agriculture, enhancing their income becomes imperative for improving the quality of life for citizens in general. Hemp, a multi-purpose plant, can be a cash-generating crop for farmers. A marvel crop, it could be used for a bevy of applications. Sowing hemp in their fields can not only bring a steady income to these farmers but also contribute to the national economy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][tm_image align=”center” image=”19334″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Nutritional value of hemp contributes to keeping us healthy

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]In today’s scenario, when governments around the world are stressing the healthy life of citizens, can we afford to ignore the numerous nutrition benefits of hemp? Seeds of hemp are a great source of fat, protein, gamma-linolenic acid, vitamin E, and minerals like phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, calcium, sodium, magnesium, zinc, and iron. In China, hemp seeds are in use as food and medicine for thousands of years.
Consumption of hemp seeds also results in a reduction in heart disease risks, helps in skin disorders, curtails symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and menopause, aid in digestion, Hemp is called a superfood for a reason.
In India, the Himalayan valleys are the ideal place to grow hemp. Soil, water, and weather in the lap of the sky-kissing Himalayas are conducive for the production of world-class hemp. The soil in the Himalayan foothills is naturally mineral-rich and no water can be better than that of Ganga and its tributaries.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Conserve the fragile ecology of the Himalayas

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]What is more, hemp can help immensely to conserve the fragile ecology of the Himalayas? Heavy rainfall can wash away the fertile soil on the steep slopes. Blatant cutting of trees on these slopes has accelerated the washing away of soils. Millions of tons of wood are burned annually by trekkers and locals.
A multi-purpose plant, hemp can substantially reduce the dependency of the locals on the forests, thus help to keep the trees in their place. These trees can strongly hold the soil, preventing it from washing down with the rains. With its immense utility, hemp can support the local population economically, encouraging them to preserve their ecosystem.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Connect remote corners to world economy

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Last, but foremost, hemp helps take the benefits of a world economy to the villages in the remote corners of the Himalayan foothills. Growing a native plant of the Himalayas, the poor folk can get rid of utter poverty. Women have been involved exclusively in the making of the stuff showcased in the design studio. This has helped make them independent and enhance their status in society. The joy of being self-reliant is evident if you spend some time with these women.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][tm_image align=”center” image=”19335″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Hemp – harbinger of a new economic age

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Hemp has staged a comeback and voila, in what away! A plant that is under a blanket ban some time ago is now considered to be the harbinger of a new economic age. It does make us wonder why it was banned in the first place. Known to a few people, it was the conspiracy of the cotton lobby to convince the states to ban hemp so that they themselves can grow, regardless of the environmental cost.

Hemp is God’s blessing when it comes to the conservation of the environment we all live and breathe in. And when it comes to the endurance of fabric, breathability, comfort, and other features, it is better than cotton. Moreover, at Hemp Foundation, we have ensured that our hemp is grown and processed in a totally organic manner. This ensures that the environmental cost of our products an absolute zero. What is more, the hemp apparel manufactured is fabulous. Those who thought that hemp apparel would not be able to match up to the style quotient were taken aback by the sight and feel of the goods in the design studio.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Design studio an opportunity for others to see, touch and feel diverse hemp goods

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The arrival of a neighborhood hemp design studio in Delhi has given the residents a lucrative opportunity to see, touch, and feel the exquisite hemp textiles and other products for themselves, and experience the economic and environmental contribution of hemp products. To say that most guests at the design studio inauguration were surprised to see different applications of hemp won’t be an exaggeration.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column width=”1/6″ lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Beginning of a sort of revolution

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]What made the event special was the beginning of a sort of revolution it could trigger. The design studio isn’t just a place to showcase an array of hemp products. Rather, it is a connection between the remote villages in the Himalayan foothills with the world economy.
It is also a reminder to us all that it is time to wake up to the dangers our planet is facing due to unhindered exploitation of natural resources and human-induced pollution. The least we could do, perhaps, is to take a vow to use hemp products in our daily life as much as possible and say no to anything that may be deleterious for the environment we all live in.
Let us turn this design studio inauguration into a welcome to a new age.
An age where the poor farmers and women in remote Himalayan valleys feel connected to the world around and we all live in a society that is determined to do there for protecting the planet.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content”][vc_column lg_spacing=”padding_top:60;padding_bottom:60″][vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html][tm_button size=”lg” button=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fstore.hempfoundation.net%2Ftestv%2Fabout-us%2F|title:Read%20More%20About%20Us|target:%20_blank|” align=”center” md_align=”center” el_class=”bbtrn” icon_type=”fontawesome” icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-hand-pointer-o” color=”custom” button_bg_color=”custom” font_color=”custom” button_border_color=”” button_bg_color_hover=”custom” font_color_hover=”custom” button_border_color_hover=”” rounded=”50px” custom_button_bg_color=”#75b325″ custom_font_color=”#ffffff” custom_button_bg_color_hover=”#75b325″ custom_font_color_hover=”#ffffff”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” disable_element=”yes” lg_spacing=”margin_top:-60;padding_bottom:60″][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

The depletion of forests has already caused havoc around the world. Rivers are drying up because of it.  Earth’s temperature is rising and this is the reason why glaciers on the poles are beginning to melt. Sea levels are eventually getting higher! Isn’t it scary?

All this is leading towards the end of hundreds of species and many are already extinct.

  • Do you want to convert this planet to become a death bed?
  • Do you want yourself to reside in laboratories?
  • Do you want your children to live in glass cubicles filled with oxygen and play with robots?

At Hemp Foundation, we have taken things in our hands! If we have damaged this planet together, let’s act together and bring our planet back on track. We, at Help Foundation are appealing to everyone to joins us if you desire to protect and nourish the young and fragile Himalayas. We have already caused a lot of damage to it.

We have decided to plant 1 billion trees by 2035 and we need all of you to come together to help us in this special mission.

Plan Of Action:

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

1) We have identified several clusters that have become devoid of trees. We have decided to start with one mountain patch in the Rudraprayag region of Uttarakhand, India.

2) We will find the species of plants that suits the local ecology and maintain its diversity.

3) We also plan to name each tree with the name of the person who wants to donate the tree. The trees will also be provided a serialnumber. So, if someone who wants to donate 100 trees, it is named and categorized accordingly. Every singletree will have a name and a number appended at the end.

4) We will also post pictures and videos of every tree planted every year.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

So, what is making you think so long, let’s come together and save our only PLANET by getting it healthy and running again! Help us achieve our goal.
